    1. ▧ Actual rating: 10 stars ▧Disclaimer: this is Pippa DaCosta. This is The 1000 Revolution. Synapses dead. Grey cells fried. Don't expect any of this to make sense.Introducing…Q: Who is Pippa DaCosta?A: Who is Pippa DaCosta?! WHO IS PIPPA DACOSTA?! You have got to be kidding me. Breathe Sarah, Breathe. Be lenient. Be patient. Explain. You can do this. *breathes deeply* Who is Pippa DaCosta, you ask? insert homicidal maniac smile here Oh, no one important, really. Just the only author this [...]

    2. I don't read sci-fi. Ever. If I have read sci-fi before, it was probably because of the romance. But it's official. This is now my favorite sci-fi series ever. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself because I haven't read any sci-fi books before (none as far as I could remember) but whatever. I FREAKING LOVE EVERY SECOND OF THIS BOOK. Pippa DaCosta has upped her game here in Trapped. I've had this arc for months now but decided not to read it immediately because I knew I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO HANDLE MO [...]

    3. I love this series! It gets better with every book. Caleb had some tough choices to make. Who was he going to trust? Everyone wanted #1001. Was he going to ruin her life a second time? I can’t describe the plot without giving too much away, but all of the characters were going through a phase of self discovery. This was an important part of their lives because it would decide the fate of themselves and those around them.Caleb surprised me. He is officially one of my top book boyfriends. He’s [...]

    4. Post-read review:WELLLLL, that's the end of my pairing in this book. I have 0 idea where this series is going now, but tbh, that's 100% a good thing. Liked it a lot better than I remember liking the first two. Definitely not what the author would have you think, too, which was nice.Pre-read review:Honestly, I wasn't in love with the first books, but they were entertaining and I was hooked. I am not entirely sure where it will be heading, but all I know is that a) James & #1001 tbh and b) #10 [...]

    5. “She’s just code…” Well, is she? #1001 is different, but can we truly manufacture souls like we can manufacture lifelike, synthetic bodies that mimic human behavior?Caleb and the girl who used to be Hailey Hung are about to find out. /Execute master reboot. File Found/ Pippa Dacosta once again proves her power over her pen (or should I say keybord these days?) in the third installment of “Girl from Above: Trapped.” Expect political intrigue, deceit, an artificial intelligence that po [...]

    6. I find it really, really difficult to write reviews for the books in this series because they're so amazingly good that I struggle to find the words to talk about them. I know there is no way to do Girl From Above: Trapped justice but I'll do my best to give you full sentences rather than just a whole page of "Read it! Read it! Read it! Read it!"Every time I think things can't get worse for #1001 Pippa DaCosta proves me wrong, considering that nobody is supposed to know she even exists she's act [...]

    7. In Girl from Above: Trapped, Pippa DaCosta delivers the most engaging, most emotionally gripping installment to date. Just when I thought I had it all figured out and things were beginning to look a little less bleak, well Pippa came along and trampled that little idea of mine. Caleb-Joe and crew aren't back-in-black in this installment. Instead, he and his crew are stationed on Lyra, trying to win some much needed credits. Out of loot, out of booze, Cale has hit his lowest point yet. Hitting ro [...]

    8. 5 "I f'love this series" StarsHave you ever read a book and thought “This needs to be a TV show?”? Well, that’s what I think of every time I read a book in this series. Vivid storytelling ✔ Edge-of-your-seat action ✔ Devastating plot twists ✔ A dash of sexual tension ✔ It's as if I'm getting my own personal TV show right in my head.Living life in the black is rough, but for Captain Caleb Sheppard it just got a whole lot rougher. With every faction in the nine systems putting a boun [...]

    9. I'm starting to think that this author lives to wreck me ;) It's no secret that this genre isn't not in my comfort zone, I mentioned it from the start but this author, no matter what genre, knows how to draw me in. This book starts with a bang and this author is not sorry for it, throwing you headfirst into a series of events that will surely get your head spinning. A few days later, my head is still spinning! This author creates such wonderful multidimensional characters, pair that with amazing [...]

    10. This series is total perfection. Highly recommended for people who like haunted, foul-mouthed anti-heroes who don't stop getting up no matter how many times they're knocked down. Equally haunted heroines, who are darn smart and won't accept any limitations no matter how damning they are. A cast of fleshed-out characters. Impossibly high stakes, nonstop action, and a love story that pits hero against heroine until their causes align, their bond a crucial element in a universe-sized revolution. Am [...]

    11. 1001 stars and forever love. Here is the thing. I'm speechless. Completely, utterly speechless for the first time in my life. I want to give this book 1002 stars (1001 for One and 1 for Caleb. I love the guy)I can't explain this book- what it did to me. It wasn't the plotline, it wasn't the never-ending action, the backstabbing, the pain, the heartbreak, the death, the sweet feelings and the tears. It wasn't 1001's humanity or Caleb's dark shattered heart. It wasn't the revenge, it wasn't the si [...]

    12. This is your mind after reading Pippa DaCosta.****THIS IS A DISCLAIMER, IF YOU CHOOSE TO PICK UP THIS AUTHOR AFTER READING THIS REVIEW, DON'T COME CRYING TO ME!!!****(okay, maybe come crying, but only with a bottle of tequila so we can bawl together while waiting for book 4 to come out)How do you POSSIBLY review a book like this??How?Basically, things are fucked. Everyone's fucked. Caleb, 1001, Jessie, Bren, Fran, you name it, it's fucked. I don't understand how I can care so deeply for all thes [...]

    13. Absolutely loved it! I have been looking for a series to blow my mind away and get me lost in the characters and their world and I have found it. I devoured this book within a day – I could not put it down. This series is brilliant and just keeps getting better with each book in the series. The fast paced and smooth flowing plot kept me on the edge of my seat with an abundance of mystery, intrigue, suspense and action, and a good dose of comedy and romance. The characterisation and world buildi [...]

    14. All right, you win. I might be able to forgive Caleb. What I liked:Okay, okay, so I've finally stopped hating Caleb (though I still don't like him much). However, his total and utter remorse is finally winning me over, although I'd like to see him stop thinking with his libido (unlikely, I'm sure). Chuffed to see my suspicions about a certain character proved correct. Again, this is superbly written, fast paced and tension packed space opera. There are still the merest hints of a potential roman [...]

    15. So I actually really liked this installment of the series! I thought it was action-packed and clever and a lot easier to relate to the characters, and I liked the storyline and the many reveals and twists. Lots to love across the board. Not to mention more and more focus on the vastness of this world connected by space travel! There can never be enough world-building. I thought the writing was a little better and everything was perfectly enjoyable.(view spoiler)[Do not love the reappearance of F [...]

    16. Pippa has done it again. She has made me love sci fi and want more! Caleb is the very definition of an anti hero but there is a small part you just have to love about him. 1001 or One is becoming more human but something is wrong and the good doctor can't fix her this time. This is the second to last book and I see where Caleb is changing, becoming who he should be and One is the girl to help him. We meet some past characters and some things are revealed that explain a lot. I can't wait for the [...]

    17. I'm not sure how the author does it: she somehow manages to take a bunch of characters with few redeeming features - and who are routinely quite horrible to one another - and mixes them into what is a compelling read. I'm still not quite convinced by an AI developing 'feelings' but I'm no expert in emotional niceties so it's probably best to read what others have said. There's a lot of love for these books. On to book #4

    18. excellent read for scifi addictsfast paced and gripping. the transition between characters perspectives is flawless. gritty flawed characters are as real as a train wreck and just as mesmerizing.

    19. 8/10: Excellent read, well written, fell right into the fictional world created.I may not have believed in lady luck, but I believed in her fucking sister, irony. That bitch was bent on nailing me to a wall .Still loving Caleb.

    20. I received Girl From Above: Trapped, book 3 in the series from author Pippa DaCost to read and review. When Caleb runs out of credits, he decides to take 1001 gambling. How better to earn some money than by taking a card counting synth into a casino? And it almost works. Unfortunately for Caleb, he's recognized and forced to make an agreement he's not sure how he's going to fulfill. When 1001 is searching the datacloud for a male synth that has committed a crime, Caleb comes to realization that [...]

    21. After an interesting start to this series, I was slightly disappointed in the second book, but I was still intrigued enough to continue with this third book.Unfortunately one of my main problems with the second book was Caleb and the start of this book just reminded me why I had become irritated with his whining self-pity. Also it became quite clear that no matter what the series is called the author is actually writing about Caleb and 1001/Hayley is not her main interest. The problem is I don [...]

    22. I received ARC copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. "I knew what made you tick from the moment we first met. That's why I punched you between the legs."-#1001This book was exactly what I come to expect from Pippa's writing. It's full of unpredictable twists and turns, explosive action and brilliant dialogue. I loved how Caleb's and #1001 relationship grew and developed, #1001 is bringing out the good of jaded Caleb and Caleb is making #1001 more human and less mach [...]

    23. Ordinarily not a fan of joint perspective novels (ie one chapter is one character, the next chapter is another character) I have been loving this series. It's hard to know who hates Caleb most, with people queueing to pay him back or bump him off. For the most part, I think he is first in line. He is certainly not an easy character to love.I can't give you my real thoughts on this book (spoilers!) but I was left distraught yet with a glimmer of hope at the end.I can't wait for the next book in th [...]

    24. I was so excited to get this book as I've loved previous books 1 & 2 in this series but number 3 was very well written, great plot reappearance of previous characters some for good some for bad but the book is brilliant but has a more depressing feel and Iam sad for Haley/1001 and even for caleb and Brendan who are young but have the personality of 40 year olds:-) I'd like for more romantic in the story for Brandan and for calab to pick one lol so instead of 6omg stars this book got 5 but sti [...]

    25. Thank you Pippa for the ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. Caleb is finally learning that sometimes he has to look out for others and not just himself. His heart grows bigger just in time to lose One again. I'm still too curious to not be excited for the next book already and it hasn't even been released. There is too much unfinished business. I loved it. Some questions have been answered and others have brought more. Plenty if emotional moments, with thrilling chases and killer fights. [...]
