    1. Oh my Gods this was SO good. The endingOh my Gods I have to wait for the next installment. While the first in the series had a slow start this installment didn't disappoint from the first page. There is so much movement in the story and you could see the characters growing up in front of your eyes. Some happy moments but dear gods the sorrow. Do yourself a favor and get this book and if you have not read the first installment then read it before you read this one as they need to be read in seque [...]

    2. THE FEAR AND THE SOLACE by Arie Farnam(Book Two of The Kyrennei series)I received a free copy of this eBook in exchange for a fair and honest review. "What if the forces of hatred could steal your soul?"From :"Despair has always dogged the heels of those who defy Addin mind control. Now Aranka Miko, the girl who could shield the resistance against infiltration, has gone down in a rain of bullets.""Twenty-two-year-old Cho is the temporary commander of the J. Company compound in Montana when disas [...]

    3. I had high expectations for The Fear and the Solace, and I’m happy to say that it met them in resounding fashion. The second book in Arie Farnam’s Kyrennei Series delivers the same exciting mix of interesting characters, honest characterizations, and emotional impact that made the first one so much fun to read. Once again, the characters in the novel stood out to me as impressively drawn and real. Their thoughts, actions, and relationships come alive on the pages in a way that doesn’t feel [...]

    4. The Fear and The Solace is book two in The Kyrennei series, suitable for young adults and above. It is a thriller. The series is about the discrimination of a lesser people, a theme which the world has seen over and over. This book continues the story of the emergence of an ancient people called the Kyrennei and their treaty with the Meikan nation. The Addin are a group of power seekers who control money and authority. They have mind controlling techniques which they use on people. In the first b [...]

    5. The first instalment in the series, "The Soul and the Seed," explored the pain of growing into individuation, in a world that favours conformity but was wrapped in a fantastical narrative of the Kyrennei - mystical beings whose secrets are embedded in the DNA of youngsters throughout the world with no idea of the revolutionary potential of their genes. The second instalment, 'The Fear and the Solace' explores the cost of truth. Aranka and her fellow Meikan outlaws choose a life without comfort a [...]

    6. This is the second in the Kyrennei series and it is just as good as the first. It picks up where the last book left off, with Aranka separated from her friends and being hunted by the Addin who control the world behind the scenes. I personally recommend reading the first book before this one as it helps to understand the complexities of the world that the author has created. I enjoyed the way that the different chapters switched perspectives between some of the major characters which offered dif [...]

    7. Finally! It was painful waiting for this one but it doesn't disappoint. A breathtaking continuation of the story of Aranka and J. Company. It's absolutely gripping, often terrifying but always engrossing. I can live in this world and I am obsessed with the characters, so that I can't stop thinking about them when I'm not reading. Aranka continues to be a well-developed and complex character. Thanh is still my favorite character. A specific villain emerges. Without giving specific details away I [...]
