    1. Good collection I can make use of now and would've been helpful when I first started. Good stuff that could have been better organized. Includes different training regimes depending on your goals.Unlike randomly perusing youtube, this provides orientation with your particular goals in mind. For example, there is a trade off between aesthetic goals and linebacker goals. Here it will show how to strength your obliques and spine when you are going to get hit (linebacker) or how to focus on your inn [...]

    2. This book is a fantastic reference tool for athletes and trainers involved in any type of sport as well as anyone who is actively engaged in building that elusive 6-pack. Our core musculature is the foundation of our movement. Slight imbalances can have detrimental effects on our body and lead to all sorts of injuries and chronic problems. Core Training Anatomy is invaluable for the way it helps build a strong mind/muscle connection with the help of the beautiful anatomical cross section artwork [...]

    3. Disclaimer: I won a copy of this book through LibraryThing's Early Reviewers program. However, my package was stolen and this review is from a library copy of the book.Once again, Human Kinetics and Delavier do not disappoint with a beautiful, informative, full-color illustrated guide to core training. There are exercises in here from the total beginner to beefcake gym rat. I like the guidelines and cautions for exercises that are not helpful, as well as all of the information on how to and how [...]

    4. In this book core means the abdominal area specifically. The focus is on developing exercise programs for specific reasons (get a six pack to athletic training) and the precise way to go about it.It's well conceived and actually uncomplicated which is nice for a change. The book is well illustrated for both the exercises and the anatomy of the muscles working. This is part of a CEC course as well.

    5. Easy read, but a book like this is not about the reading. It is the doing that matters. I find that I am having to really search what is right for me which actually is the good as the author refuses to provide a one-size-fits-all approach. I guess you can say the success of this book resides in the realm of praxis.
