    1. This is an awesome book. It shows how to achieve certain iconic looks, from lips to eyes and brows, from face and skin to hair. It shows how to get each look with ease. The book gives a brief description of the iconic person, dates of birth and death (if it has occurred), essentials of the person (being what movies they were in, songs they sang, books, etc) as well as a famous quote of the person. Some icons also have a section stating who also has or has had this style, an also seen on section. [...]

    2. a book about how to do makeup & hair in the signature styles of iconic celebrities. this is a great idea, but i didn't like the way it was executed. all the instructions were illustrated by little sketches, rather than photos, which would have been much more helpful. a lot of the photos of the iconic beauties were in black & white, for obvious reasons. so between the photos and the drawings, you never really get to see what the effect would be in color on a normal person. this was especi [...]

    3. The Look Book takes one hundred years of female celebrities and shows teens and young women how to copy theier most iconic features whether it is from Dorothy Dandridge's pin curls to Cher's disco eyes or Brooke Sheild's full eyebrows circa 1980 to Kat Von D's face tattoos. The written instructions and diagrams are easy to follow for the most inexperienced make-up user. The only downside of this book were the pictures. Some of the pictures failed to captured celeb's iconic look.

    4. Read this in the library while waiting for the snow flurries to stop. A very fast read. Though most of the "models" are old now, maybe some dead, some of the looks are actually making comebacks today. What used to be known as the "winged eye" and "racoon eye" has now been combined into what they call the "French smoky eye". Marilyn Monroe's trademark bold lips is still imitated by most women today. Informative for its historical look into makeup.

    5. Concept/ideas: 4.5/5Interesting, great book filled with lots and lots of useful beauty styles from stars of all ages. I love how it celebrated all types of hair, lips, brows, face and skin, etc Helpful and worth the read. Filled with quotes, tidbits about actresses, and beauty tips, definitely worth checking out.

    6. Comprehensive and detailed explanations of how to achieve individual styling traits of fashion and celebrity icons, with diagrams, photographs, and fairly easy techniques. Components are broken down: hair, lips, eyes, etc.

    7. Cute. I won't be rushing out to purchase the necessary products to recreate Clara Bow's lipstick Bow, but it's nice to know there's a book to tell me how if I want to. Not something I'll ever actually use, but fun to flip through!

    8. really awesome book really help me with my makeup and hair to look like the people i look up to

    9. I love this book because this teaches me how to do my makeup hair like the stars I love the most
